As we approach Valentine's day and are in American Heart Health Month let's go beyond the typical gestures and declarations of love. Let's dig deeper and reach higher for the examples of whole love. Let's proclaim to the one who loves us most and best that we are open vessels for which a more holy love can be poured into. Let's put first the one who loves us unconditionally and infinitely so that we can learn to pay that forward through the means of our Obedience and our heart actions...
Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. ~ Deuteronomy 6:5
In today's climate so many hearts are growing colder, especially with group outrage mentality so often based on speculation, opinion or half truths or lies. Conversations are difficult and wrought with impaired communication due to the need to be or feel right; vindicated in one's opinion. Instead of being about us as a group -humanity- it's them against us. Our earth is dripping with Satan's handprints, and humanity is falling for his game; we're being played folks... We all are in need of a heart defibrillator in order to restore the beat of our higher selves, our spirit. We need a revival of our society for the sake of our society...
"As Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love." ~John 15:9
We've all witnessed the internet in all of its negative power, but let's make an effort to reverse that. We are the internet and we have the power, the internal power placed into us by our Father to overcome our current status quo. I realize that we cannot control those who insist on remaining in a negative light...isn't that an oxymoron? :() But, we have control of ourselves!
We can push past all of that negativity, we can utilize the power of the internet, all of our technology to blast this world with our love, our encouragement, our ability to put down these disagreements, grudges, and offenses. Can you imagine what it would be like even if for a time if we all harnessed love's abilities and power? Let's serve the Lord instead of just ourselves! Our Lord sent his only son to not only be the bearer of our sins but to lead us in how to love, how to be like Him! We have to change our focus; look to him, our mentality; pray to him, our ability to resist spiritual wickedness in high places; cling to him!!
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
~Ephesians 6:12
We are the plants that either bear God's fruit or Satan's junk food! What we choose to allow into our minds, our opinions, our words and actions determines our behavior. We can let the 'collective mindset' create useless byproducts from bitter junk that doesn't actually serve humanity, and especially not God or we can break away from the hive mentality; of the divisive - collective and be set apart, walk a different path, be an example, become who we were created to be...
It takes courage and our Lord's power in us to step back, in order to move forward. I know I don't want to live out the years that I'm blessed with going in the opposite direction that our Lord set for me. We've all been caught up in current worldly 'talk' or debates, judgements, even arguments etc..., we're all susceptible, because we're all human.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. ~2 Chronicles 7:14
But that's a heavy way to live. I feel the weight and I know I'm not alone in this. I'm a highly sensitive person so I feel harder than most, I absorb feelings, and that includes the atmospheric negativity that's growing darker. So, I have to protect my heart, and spirit! I absolutely need God's strength and leadership to build my spiritual 'walls' against this fallen world!!! I believe we all do because, sensitive or not we all require God's strength, we simply cannot do this alone.
You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companion by anointing you with the oil of joy. ~Psalms 45:7
I want to be the kind of woman that can look inward and be honest, be 'heart' smart, be humbled enough to embrace change. I want to carry a heartfelt spirit and a spirit filled heart. The imprint I want to leave is that of a women who loves the Lord, who strives for obedience ( yes and I fail often too! ), who chooses to love by falling back on the behaviors of this world no matter the outward opinions of it.
I just can't let my heart sit on the vine and 'rot' because our heart is our anchor to our entire way of being (as 'beings'). [ ok, I tried it pun failed! LOL ] Our hearts can have a mind of their own and the desire to express itself whether right or wrong. Our emotions travel 80,000 times faster than our thoughts, so its easy to understand why we're all so worked up! Our Lord tells us to guard our hearts. These aren't just simple words, they're potent instructions that take diligent and consistent work! Our emotions have lightening speed so, if we aren't cautious we get dragged along on our heart's own plans without a reasonable plan in place.
Keep thy heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life. ~Proverbs 4:23
Let's re birth our Souls ( our earthly self; our personality our feelings ) to become followers of our Spirits ( our eternal, Godly self ). Let's get off the train that takes us to volatile and take one that carries us to Humbling ourselves, to God's word, to Prayer, to higher spiritual powers in Godly places! Can I get an Amen?!
