I used to think that it all was so confusing, daunting, like a corn maze…
Life. We have our culture, we have society, family, friends and an open media of every kind, all attempting to lead us onto a purposed path of right living. I looked at many of these sources and was still left spinning and unsettled in my existence...
I forgot and I kept ignoring the one source that’s Omniscient!
“Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge God! How unsearchable his judgements, and his paths beyond tracing out!”
Romans 11:33
I was leaning on man, not God for my milk, my sustenance, for my walk in this life, a walk that’s NOT to be done without Him! I was at the ultimate amusement park of life: Here, ye Here ye! Come one come all says the carnival barker, anything goes, come and gawk, laugh, it’s all meant to be for your amusement!”
However, Life isn’t an amusement park and is not meant to be traveled on just any path. In this world man puts himself above God and his wisdom . But…God says: I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Can I get an AMEN!
As I grow on in years, my search for wisdom and righteous living begins and ends with my Lord Christ. It saddens me to remember how lost and vulnerable I was to the wiles of this fallen world all because I wasn’t wise to being covered in His blood! I am so grateful to be blessed in the goodness and salvation of my God as are we all who invite him into our lives and walk in obedience.
We DO NOT have to fall victim to the worlds foolish and meaningless ways. All we have to do is reach out to Him cry out to Him, ask and He listens: This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 1 John 5:14
It’s been a long journey but am I ever so glad to arrive here! My prayer and hope is for each one of us to fall off the paths of this world and onto the NARROW path of God’s choosing. It’s not an easy road by any means, but the peace and the reward to be had is a priceless prize that this world can’t match!
