The more life progresses on the more we keep on keeping on and many times with a pace and urgency that dilutes the very quality of our life's purpose. Our time here on earth is finite and that creates a never-ending rat race against time; a race we will never win.
The issue with chasing time, never-ending deadlines, exterior lives, instead of slowing down to chase after God is we end up living hollowed lives. I hollow tree trunk will collapse without it's important infrastructure. God is our infrastructure!
Our access to social and other forms of media has the carbon copy effect; where we 'feel' as is we should be doing what everyone else's normal is in order to life an effective, prosperous life. The trouble with this carbon copy effect is that we weren't made to live in grey scale, we are meant to live our versions of 'normal', our paths of God's purpose for our lives!
[ I've never liked coasters, it's funny that I've been living life on one! :O ]
Remember this world is Opposite of the ways our Lord designed for us to live. Chasing the collective normal is the enemies way of keeping us confused and distracted from purposeful lives for our creator. The best way to recalibrate, and learn to establish meaningful living is to stop, get off the mental rollercoaster and regroup. There's just no other way around it! We certainly can't do it on our own power!
I know for a fact that God has been working with me on this very issue. I can so clearly see how long I've been on my own roller coaster, racing through life at breakneck speed only to end up back where I began... It's laughable, but not...! That sense of urgency, that if I don't complete [my] structured plans within a purposed time frame left me feeling frazzled, feeling futile and unsuccessful. That was a LIE! I was listening to the enemy who knew this and made it all too easy to entrap me on a hamster's wheel going nowhere. God is showing me how to choose 'natural' over normal', and how to be ok with that because I'm not here to [impress] anyone, but to [impress onto] others God's fruits and ways of living!
Living life from under the 'normal' currents doesn't mean we're doing nothing; it means we're doing no-thing that doesn't serve our purpose for Godly living!! Caring for loved ones, or a friend in need [ or a stranger! ], taking time to allow your body to heal, ministering your home life, kids, gardening [ come on, planting seeds for life to grow, how's that for replicating God's plans?! :() ], or simply slowing down dropping events, or subjects in our life that only serve to take up 'busy space' are all purposeful Natural ways to find our new normal; our Natural.
Reestablishing [ natural - normal ] creates space to be lead. Of course there are times when the urgent is necessary, [ after all, we're still in the physical world ] but to decipher the how and when requires our cords to stay plugged into the Lord. This will allow us to not only walk and live alongside God, but to slow down the spiraling,
allowing God to take the wheel. When we connect to our spiritual over worldly living our lives will better reflect the seeds we desire to plant, seeds that grow from our values and those values grow from our branches that connect to the vine - God!
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. ~John 15:5
It takes work, [yep, it's not an easy ride! ], and being intentional with our thoughts and actions; and it takes consistent practice until it becomes our 'natural-normal'! We will spend our entire lives fighting the world's opposition, the enemies manipulations. But living differently without the unnecessary baggage of being 'in the world' is so worth it!!
Let's fight the god of confusion, distraction with clarity and confidence - FAITH in the one who walks beside us our entire lives, our Lord God. Let's drown out the normals of those narrow views of life online, or lives on the other side of the fence{s}, or what's deemed life in the success... because each of us are already programed for success through God. We don't have to chase it to such lengths that we wind up disillusioned, and empty.
All of that time that appears to be slipping away so fast in the age we live in is still there, we're just racing through it. Getting our strength and wisdom through God allows us to see time for what it is, just time, as it's always been. Living life [ through the vine ] puts a magnifier on what really matters and value in how we live out our lives.
Don't let this world dupe you...forget FOMO...embrace JOMO-Joy Of Missing Out!
