Thru God’s Grace

And now I commend you to God to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

Always in My Feelings...

January 25, 2017

Wellness is not a 'medical fix' but a way of living-a lifestyle-Greg Anderson

Our health management isn't solely being aware of what and who we eat, and staying active.  A large part of our well being is learning to live within the guidelines set for us by the Lord.  Emotional health can be detrimental for our physical health if we fail to keep steady attention to our FEELINGS. :()

Proverbs 14:12-13 There is a way which stems right unto man, but the end thereof {are} the ways of death.

Everyone struggles with feelings because they are a 'behemoth' to manage as we continue to deal with more and more stress in our lives and in this world. {1 John 2:15}  It may seem impossible at times to disallow what were feeling to disrupt a situation, make relationships more challenging, or in dealing with life altogether.

As of late, I continue to grow in humility from the Lord's teachings.  I'm so grateful for his great and endearing love for me and for the kind of peace that only he can

provide.  I've been studying the fruits of the spirit [ often I'll stay on one or two fruits for a few months depending on my struggles], and recently I was shown why myself and many others continue to struggle so, with wearing our emotions on our sleeves!  The Lord helped me to see that my foundation is not solid.

The fruits of the spirit not only requires knowledge of them and the ability to apply them to our lives, but a Solid base for which to build these fruits on.  A strong base comes from playing follow the leader!  We aren't the leader; God and his ways are!

My ongoing problem is that I continue to follow myself and my flesh based motivations, reactions, and decisions instead of pulling from what the Lord it teaching me.  I keep falling into old ineffective behavior patterns my desires [based on my human abilities], are what leave me wide open to the tricks and delusions of satan.  Screwing up, falling down, getting frustrated, yep I've signed up

[ habitual] for those choices because yeah, I'm human:/

Luke 6:48 He is like a man which built a house, and dogged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon the house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

Control needs to be God-Powered, not human powered, and the only ways to gain this control is to study the word and learn what the Lord expects of us, praying with confidence that the will provide us with exactly what we need for success through him.  God powered control is the solid base, the fertile soil we require for those fruits to become nourished and grow.

I've been praying and continuing to re train myself to stop exalting my feelings over his truth ( flesh vs spirit), to prevent them from popping out ( and all over the place!), and to apply the biblical concepts I've been adapting to.  It's been a steep hill to climb and I've fallen on my face all to many times, only to beat my self up in the end.  However, I've also seen growth, I'm more frequently remembering to 'change lanes' when I veer down familiar roads to behave in a manner that better reflects myself as child of God.  Growing ( God's way} is grueling  but rewarding work...regardless of how I FEEL about it!!

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
